Evaluation Of The Early Year s Foundation Stage - 2126 Words

This written document will discuss assessments within the early year’s foundation stage which I believe to have the potential of creating positive outcomes for children and families in a mainstream primary school where I am currently a teaching assistant. Throughout, I will make reference to â€Å"reception children† which covers ages four and five of the EYFS. I aim to justify this element of practice using a combination of literature and reflective experiences to evaluate how this practice contributes to quality outcomes. I aim to develop an action plan (appendix 1) that supports the improvement of assessment at Foundation stage level and critically and reflectively discuss the role and style of leadership that may be required to overcome any†¦show more content†¦The literal meaning of Whariki is the woven mat , on which everyone can stand on, it interweaves principles and goals into different ways which each setting can develop their own particular learning methods (Carr May, 2000, cited in Soler Miller, 2003, p63). Te Whariki assesses children in a very different way to the EYFS in the United Kingdom. They assess children through learning stories; and have no set goals that they must attain by the end of the curriculum. In comparison, both assessment processes are ongoing throughout the curriculum. After researching, I am aware that the Te Whariki curriculum and the Early Years Foundation stage are similar. They both stress the importance of inclusion and working with families. The Te Whariki assessment process learning stories seems more enjoyable, however the EYFS use a checklist, this can also be seen as a positive aspect because practitioners are able to monitor the child’s holistic developmental progress. Monitoring is also done through homework sheets (appendix 2 and 3) which gives parents a chance to communicate with school staff by leaving notes about how the child got on with the task(s). A homework policy is alre ady in place 9appenddix 4)which allows every parent to understand homework rules, and the roles of all staff, parents and children in relation to completing homework tasks in time. It could in fact be argued that the EYFS has been influenced by the Te

Development And Training Of The Employees †MyAssignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about the Development And Training Of The Employees. Answer: Introduction My name is Pieter van Ellewee, the Training and HR manager working for Rampar Trading. One of my main roles in the company is the skills development. I have almost 9 yers of experience in the field of skills development. In this essay I will be discussing about the various issues in the workplaces as I am the Human Resource manager in the organization I am working in. I am entrusted with the various roles like managing the skills for ETDs in a smooth way and taking the best options for their improvement. My belief in this situation is the critical cross field outcomes or the CCFOs. The employees will perform better and make way for getting the desired results for the organization. I will be focusing on these issues in this paper. I will be highlighting on another issue that is the managing and administering the ETDs. The development and training of the employees in South Africa will be a very complicated issue since the quality of the infrastructure is not very high graded like USA o r the European countries. Currently I am in charge of the training department as the Human Resource Manager. I had been given the responsibility of conducting the training program for the store managers, area managers, sales assistants and others. I am responsible for providing the training to my juniors in several departments. I prepare the proper schedules for providing the training. I have to plan and execute all the schedules so I can give the proper training to the employees. I also choose the employees who must go through the selection process. I give the training to the employees, and then I complete the administrative work so I can complete all the administrative works. I always manage a database in which I keep all the records for the training programs I have taken to improve the skills of the employees. Then I can provide all this information about the training to all the stakeholders and the SETAS. Purpose of the essay The purpose of the essay will be to demonstrate the importance of the proper communication between themanagement and the employees in the training department in which I am currently working. The primary issues in managing and administering the ETDs will be highlighted properly. I must collect all the necessary information. I have gone through the analysis about my strengths and weaknesses and how I can improve upon them. Here I shall be focusing on the ways to improve upon the CCFOs to manage the ETDs. The meaning of the ETDs is the Education Training and Development. Strengths The CCFO skills that I have discussed in these portions can develop my communication skills. I have to make sure the enhancement in the administration process of the ETDs. I should also look upon the fact that the administration should direct all the processes properly. Weaknesses The administration of the organization becomes too rigid. The lack of flexibility will hamper the process. The Administration has to look into several processes that consumes much time. The managing of the process should need some resources. However these resources are very costly indeed. Opportunities I will opt for giving the job training. I have to get the proper training resource materials. I can get the proper benefits if I can indulge the communication skills properly. The administration should look to redesign the administration process. Threats The bad administration process will lead me to extra work. The administration processes can be outdated as well. The processes are very time consuming and costly.. Description and reflection upon the practice It is believed that the current practices are not that much up to the mark for the improvement in the productivity while managing the ETDs properly. The main responsibilities will be highlighted to them largely amidst all the process (Arneson,, Rothwell Naughton, 2013). Secondly, learning programs can be arranged for me depending on my needs. Thus the employees of Ramper Trading can learn about the professional associations regarding themanagement of the ETDs. The cost estimation programs should be managed as well. These learning programs will make me understand how they can cope up with each other. If I am unable to do so, I will seriously be in a deep trouble (Anitha 2014). Enabling of the CCFO In this section I will be focusing on how I have enabled the critical cross field outcomes for managing the ETDs. The employees have to understand the relevance of the of these critical cross field outcomes. I will be discussing about two of the most important CCFOs that will be important for managing and administering ETDs. The critical cross field outcomes will help to improve the performance and productivity of the organizations on a global basis. These things are very important for me indeed. The need for the training and development of the employees is an essential one. The employees will have to be competent with all the skills that are required. I will highlight the basic criterion for the training and development programs in the organizations. Rather, I should build good relationships with them through proper communication (Keyton et al., 2013). Secondly, some specific short courses should be arranged for the new employees at the workplaces. I will personally look after this matter. I will make sure that the employees get all the benefits and facilities at the workplace. The values and ethics that have to be maintained in the organizations should be learned by the employees through the process of organizational learning. Conclusion In the above essay, the basic needs for achieving the better records of the employees have been discussed. The ways this can be achieved have been outlined as well. Some ethical guidelines have to be maintained as well regarding the ethical issues and the training of the employees. The training and development programs will have to be implemented properly as well. References Arneson, J., Rothwell, W., and Naughton, J. 2013. The Three Strangers Essay Example

The Three Strangers Paper The clues that are given about the first strangers profession is that Thomas Hardy writes I have had some rough times lately, and have been forced to pick up what I can get in the way of wearing. So the stranger must be very poor and must be living on the streets.  We suspect that he is lying that he has a job because he says, But you hardly have heard of me.  The second stranger was much different than the first stranger. He had more manners, he was several years older than the first one. He was richer, and all he asked for was shelter to go to Casterbridge. The second stranger makes himself at home. The second stranger was the hangman, he was to hang the clockmaker who stole a sheep to feed his family. The third stranger was very frightened and ran away when he heard about the situation with the stolen sheep, and he was an escaped prisoner. You can tell that the prisoner was frightened because Hardy says, he hid under the tree and it was very obvious that he was hiding there. The first stranger returns, and chats to the second stranger and they go off in separate directions. This builds up a sense of mystery because all the strangers went in different directions which was suspicious and that everyone thought that they would have run in the same directions because they had known each other. The other message for us in the story is that Should a man be hanged for stealing a sheep for his family because they are poor and hungry.  In A Vendetta Guy de Maupassant builds up a mystery story by writing about an old widow living only in a tiny cottage who is presently living with her son Anotine Saverini.  It is similar to Thomas Hardys story because he writes about a cottage as well. Different about these is that Thomas Hardy talks more of the surroundings and areas in the setting. They are both in bad moods, because the surroundings are described as a bad mood, like raining and it was a dull day. If an old widow is described in a setting it tells you straight away that this story is going to be a mystery story because an old widow living on her own, there is something bound to happen to her or her son. I think that Guy de Maupassant is trying to intensify the readers interest in the psychology of revenge and the way the person thinks, whereas in Thomas Hardys story he seems to litter his story with intriguing clues and fate leads throughout the narrative. In A Vendetta the ending was more horrific than The Three Strangers, and it keeps the reader entertained. It is about a woman who avenges her son because Nicolas Ravolatti had stabbed him treacherously. The old widow trains her gundog to kill people by grabbing at their throats and killing them.  I believe that although both stories use the usual formulaic devices of mystery story such as lonely and hostile environments, bizarre behaviour and puzzling relationships between people, a resolution or explanation, with a scattering of useful and useless clues (red herrings) there is much more to the mysteries that meet the eye.
